Lyrics

The Life Sublime
by Christopher Cook

I sailed to the edge of the world
And I fell into the abyss
There I met a girl
Wanderin’ in the mist

Oh how there is no time
When you live the life sublime

I walked through the city of clay
A place where I’m not very tall
But you can buy a golden day
In any market stall

I ran home and cleaned out my room
I threw my stories in the fire
They said “Oh no, we’ll be done soon”
But they loved that smoke climbing higher

Yes, I sailed to the end of the world
My little boat took it pretty hard
When we went over the edge
We ended up right back at the start
